T & S Antiques -- Sioux City, Iowa

I was out and about the other day and was finally able to stop at a little shop I hadn't been to for some time. It's called T & S Antiques, the building use to be an old garage which is now turned in to a cute little antiques shop.

The location of the shop is in Sioux City, Iowa on old Highway 75.

Meet Cheryl and Lilly (the cat), Lilly is only 5 months old and full of energy, but is one of the friendliest cats you'll ever meet. She follows you around the store as you shop.

Her she is again, as I took this photo I didn't realize the sign in the picture until I went home and reviewed the photos.... kind of fitting...

Meet Hershey, he is a very friendly dog too. He has his own chair in the shop and he like it if you follow him over to it so you can give him lots of attention.

I found this in the rough room, what a find, I love this thing. I will have to do some projects with it after it gets cleaned up. The story is that Tom, the co-owner of the shop, said it use to be in the old laundry mat that his parents owned when he was a kid. It's a paper tape dispenser and they used it to tape up the packages of clean laundry ready to be picked up by customers.

Gotta love all the wood printers block letters......

This old banner was used on the streets during parades and celebrations in Sioux City.

Here is a shot of one corner of the shop, there is quite a variety here, anything from jewelry to furniture, kitchen stuff, dishes, to mirrors.

Underneath a chair I found this turquoise snack set, have you ever seen one this color? I haven't!

T & S is open Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. The website is http://www.tandsantiques.com/, so next time your in the area stop in and see Tom, Cheryl , Hershey and Lilly, they will glad to see you.
