Road Trip .... A True Junker's Paradise....

We took a little trip to the Black Hills to look at a pickup but we did have to get a little junking in between. Imagine how I felt when I pulled up to this place!!! My husband is a truck driver and he told me about this place but even he didn't have the ability to describe how great it really was!!

It was all I could do to keep from jumping out of the car window before it stopped!

Clint owns Antiques and Junk, he is a very creative guy, look at the way he arranges his junk even on the outside of the building, look closely, there are patterns everywhere you look.

Need some chain, well here is where you look for it, all nice and hung up waiting to go home with me....

Gas stove burners, aren't those just to cute....

Need a few glass globe light fixtures?

Now this is the room of parts and pieces of wood, imagine every part and piece of anything you could imagine and here it is all in one big long room...oh, do I wish Clint lived across the street from me....

Need a new set of legs, this is where you find them.....

This is a room with windows with pieces of broken stained glass where the light can shine through and show off all those old keepsakes of glass....

268 spindles all in one place, where else can you find that many of one thing in one place?

These are small pieces of glass that were used above the window in old general store to let light in before we had electricity, they allow more light to get in during the day yet looked more decorative.

Piano guts.... see Jenny had to write her name on her keys.....

Brooms handles of every color......

This a combination of horseshoes, stars things from spurs, and chrome display things for hanging cloths on, there are combinations of different things through out the entire place, how cool is that?

Looking south......

Wheels, wheels and more wheels......

Another creation, can you tell what some of the parts are?

More cool wheels.......

A few spare parts made into...... the bone pile, just don't take one from the bottom of the pile!

A few rusty springs.....

Do-dads, what can we do with these?

Jackson found his treasure, the biggest nut and bolt in the place...

More things I know could be something....

A thing but has some great potential for an idea....

Need some rusty metal shavings?

Drill bits....

Love these, had to take them home with me... old insulators used on the outside of houses....

Parts and pieces.......

Oar locks, maybe some kind of hooks for hanging things?

Pokey things.......

Cool metal rings......

Bottles....

Pieces of glass in different colors....

Know what these are.... old inserts for fireplace inserts....

Little galvanized corners.....

Old porcelain light fixtures....

More old house insulators.....

Rubber coated wire baskets....

The sorting and dealing table, you fill your bucket or the table them sort and negotiate prices...

Spur parts.....

It was a good day of junking and we really enjoyed meeting Clint, stay tuned to hear the rest of the story, more to come... I was gone for 4 days, wait till you see what else we found.

Happy May Day!

Just wanted to wish you all a Happy May Day!

These are not my tulips, but happen to be my neighbor's. They were so beautiful, thought I would share them with you. Have a wonderful spring day!
