I picked up these adorable wheels with the greatest turq patina, then later found these spindles in yet another place. I have been saving them for this project for quite sometime now.
I got the inspiration for this project from Ki's blog over at Junk Camp about a year ago right before the holidays. She had posted a tree that a friend of hers had made, I loved it and have been thinking about it ever since........
This is what I started with, I "married" these wheels to the spindles to create one piece....
I even don't know which one I like more: this or first one. COOL!
ReplyDeleteI love this tree...such cute ideas...its hard to decide which I like best because I think I love them both!

Fun tree, easy project, I could see it becoming a "junk charm tree" after the holidays. Hmmmm I bet I can find the parts amongst Ki's bins of collected treasures. I might just have to make one. Happy Holidays to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh - this so cute!!! You're going to leave it up all year round, right?! LOL

I was just thinking of waht other dodads i could put on it other than holiday? dogtags, earrings, keys, tokens, typekeys, letters, you could go on and on. May have to do a short post with the NEW junk on the tree!!
