Junkstock 2013 is coming your way!

 Junkstock is on it's way to you again this year on June 21, 22, and 23 2013!!  This is an event you should check out if you haven't already been there, if you have you already know you will be there.  Junkstock is held on an old dairy farm on the edge of Omaha at 192nd and Dodge. There are many activities going on all weekend such as live music, food vendors, children's activities, face painting, and a gathering of some really creative junkers!

Check out this link of a video shot last fall at the Harvest Edition of  Junkstock, if you have any doubts, watch this and you will probably start packing now.

A Wedding..... The West Bottoms First Friday Sales.....Now Junkstock!!

 It's been a busy time here at Daffadowndilly's!  We went to the First Friday sales in the West Bottoms in Kansas City this weekend.  Wow, what great spaces!  Totally worth the drive, so if you get a chance go check it out! 

 

I would kill for a space like this, awwww......love, love, love it!

The reason for going to Kansas City was a wedding for my niece.

 

 

 

Here is the bride trying to stay warm between pictures,  it was a beautiful wedding, but the bride was the most beautiful thing we seen that day!

 

 

 

So..... now we are off to Junkstock this weekend.... come see us Oct 12, 13 & 14, we just unpacked but are now starting to pack up again to head to Omaha for the big weekend.  Stop by Fri or Sat from 2 -4 to get your copy of Flea Market Style magazine signed or bring your copy with and I will sign it for you...... The soon-to-be-twice-yearly Junk Bonanza is about to happen! The three-day, indoor event featuring more than 140 juried vendors of beautiful vintage, antiques, architectural salvage, artisan-repurposed treasures and other fabulous finds, is Sept. 13-15 at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minn.

Oronoco Gold Rush Days or Bust!!

Just to let you all know, the first issues of Flea Market Style are starting to emerge!  I hear they will be available at Oronoco's Gold Rush Days where the some of the Flea Market Style team will be setting up camp to spread the word about Junk Bonanza, coming to you on September 13, 14, and 15 at Canterbury Downs in Shakopee, Minnesota!!  Get your your saddles tied down, this is gonna be a wild one!

One of My Little Treasures Found Today!!

Isn't this a beauty, I love, love, love it but there is even more surprises within....

There are so many watch face carcases from old watches once repaired or replaced many years ago...

Look at the detail, this is gonna be fun going through these...

Bridal Shower....... All From Vintage

This past Saturday our family hosted a bridal shower for my niece who will be getting married this fall.  I was in charge of decorating, so of course we had to use vintage goods for the table centerpieces.

A very cool old birdcage with a bouquet of flowers inside.....

A light blue pottery pitcher .......

Vintage glass general store shelf spacers, an apothecary jar, a cloche on a vintage dessert plate, and some old strings of pearls....

Vintage dresser mirror.......

An old plant stand with round glass ball containers.....

If you want to capture this look we used purple asters, stock, and delphiniums, the white flowers were stock, and spider mums.  The greens were seeded eucalyptus and grass.





This is the bride with some of her wedding party.  The day turned out perfect, well except for the heat but that is everywhere these days, so next stop Kansas City for the wedding!!
