There's a New Addition at the Milkhouse!!

We had ladies day out this past Wednesday, so we headed down to The Milkhouse to see the new addition...

Here it is, a very tall, handsome looking windmill, with the blades twirling in the wind with all the squeaks, and creeks that you would have heard years ago when it was a hard working windmill and a staple of the farm.

And here is the bonus!  Look at the great shadow that it casts upon the lawn right in front of the shop, could it be more perfect?  Makes you want to lay down in the grass and dream of childhood days, laying there watching the clouds pass by....

There is a nice springy welcome as you enter....

Great finds lay ahead for the shoppers to find.....

My First Junk Truck Sale.....

Here she is, the old beauty, getting ready to head to her new home.....

We made it to our destination, even the sheriff had to come over and check it out!

There she is in her new home, getting ready for her second life, greeting all of the customers at Holly's new shop called Cottonwood Lane in Ponca, Nebraska.  Make sure and stop by and check out the new shop as well as the old pickup truck!

Hauling Lessons 101

 There is just a few feet sticking out the back, that shouldn't hurt anything?  ....

And if you don't have a red flag just try the red cinch strap instead.....

You may have to use the ENTIRE length of the car, even the dash, so be prepared, also, passengers in the thrid seat may get a few slivers, but they can be removed easily, so not to worry.  Passengers in the second, you have doors, what a great deal for you!  I guess this just goes to show you...... "Where there's a will, there's a way!

A Day In Boyd County

This is the view we had yesterday morning heading out to Boyd County Nebraska.  It is so beautiful out there, makes me want to pack my bags and move in.

This was the cupola we had found on Craigslist that we were headed out to get, isn't she a beauty!

We also found some other interesting objects, like this old merry-go-round, lots of childhood memories connected with this I'm sure....

 A few parts and pieces for which and IDEA needs to be thought of....

More idea parts....

This old harvest table being used as a work bench has been saved....

And finally, this great old bench that came out of a blacksmith shop, and survived the flood of 2011, now that is perseverance....

And the ending to a perfect day, the sunset peeking over the bluff, it doesn't get much better than this.

Spring 2012 Flea Market Style Cover Reveal!!

Here it is, fellow junkers, the cover reveal of the Spring 2012 Flea Market Style magazine.  This can mean only one thing..... it is almost here in our hot little hands.  The magazine is set to be available by mid  to late February.  Will let you know when I hear or see anything about where and when it is available!  So for now..... hold your breath... your gonna love it!
